Naming Partnership

Scotiabank Centre opened its doors in 1978 (formerly Halifax Metro Centre) and has hosted some of the region’s most memorable events, including artistic performances, major sporting events and concerts.

On June 24, 2014 Scotiabank announced it would invest in the future of the facility by expanding its current partnership to become the naming rights partner. Under the partnership, Scotiabank committed to investing $650,000 per year for 10 years, with $5 million of the investment directed at capital upgrades.

The partnership builds on the venue’s decades long history with updates to areas that will continue to improve the customer experience.
